THRIVE 2026 Conference
Save the date for THRIVE 2026, presented by the East Mississippi Center for Educational Development (EMCED). This dedicated two-day professional learning conference features targeted sessions for instructional staff, principals, district-level administrators, parents, and other stakeholders across Mississippi supporting programs under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). Mandatory sessions will be held for English Language (EL) Coordinators, Homeless Liaisons, Juvenile Detention Center (JDC) directors, and Foster Care Points of Contact.

Pre-Conference Sessions — September 15:
- EDGAR 101: A full-day session for new Federal Programs Directors, CTE Directors, SPED Directors, and Business Managers covering the fundamentals of federal grant compliance, fiscal requirements, and best practices for program administration under the Education Department General Administrative Regulations.
- EL Combine: A full-day session outlining the five Language Instruction Education Programs (LIEP) available in Mississippi, giving EL instructional staff and leaders a deeper understanding of LIEP implementation.
