The Mary E. Peoples Scholarship Luncheon is a fundraiser hosted by the Division of Institutional Advancement at Jackson State University (JSU). The luncheon is named after a longtime educator and community leader, Mrs. Mary E. Peoples, the wife of President Emeritus Dr. John A. Peoples, Jr., the sixth president of Jackson State University. Mrs. Peoples is a former educator who provided academic excellence in the classroom for her students. The proceeds from the Mary E. Peoples Scholarship Luncheon will benefit the Mary E. Peoples Endowed Scholarship which provides supplemental financial assistance to students in need. This year, our goal is to raise $150,000.
